Language. These Terms are available in English and French. If the two versions differ, the English version governs.

1. What Braidday is

Braidday (braidday.com) is a technical matchmaking service. It lets hair salons find independent braiders available for a day, and lets braiders find work opportunities. Braidday is not an employer, a staffing agency, or a hair salon. It provides no hair services, does not direct anyone's work, and is not a party to any agreement between a salon and a braider. Each job is a private agreement between the salon and the braider only.

2. Status of braiders

Braiders on Braidday are independent professionals. They are never employees, agents, or representatives of Braidday. Each braider freely chooses which jobs to accept, her working days, her rates, and her methods. Braidday imposes no schedules, quotas, or exclusivity. A braider may work elsewhere, decline any job, or leave Braidday at any time. No employment relationship exists between Braidday and any salon either.

3. Payment for jobs

Payment for each job is made directly between the salon and the braider. Braidday does not collect, hold, or distribute this money and takes no commission on jobs. The amount, method, and timing of payment are agreed freely between the salon and the braider. Any payment dispute is resolved between them; Braidday is not responsible and does not intervene. The only amount Braidday collects is the monthly subscription, which is separate from job payments.

4. Subscriptions

New salons receive a free trial period. After the trial, a salon must hold an active subscription to post new needs. Subscription prices are shown on the site or communicated directly. Braider access is free unless stated otherwise.

5. Each user's responsibilities

Each user is solely responsible for their own legal obligations.

Braiders agree to: hold any cosmetology or braiding licenses required by their state and city; report and pay their own taxes; carry their own insurance; perform the work as agreed with the salon; and provide accurate profile information.

Salons agree to: operate lawfully (business license, hygiene, insurance); provide proper working conditions; pay the braider as agreed; and provide accurate profile information.

Braidday does not verify or guarantee licenses, profile accuracy, or work quality. Each party should verify the other before agreeing to a job.

6. Limitation of liability

Braidday is provided "as is," without any guarantee of results. Braidday is not responsible for: a braider not showing up or cancelling; a salon cancelling, refusing a braider, or not paying; the quality, safety, or legality of work performed; any dispute, damage, loss, or injury arising from a job; or any user's conduct, on or off Braidday. Braidday may, without obligation, suspend or remove any account that violates these Terms. To the extent permitted by law, Braidday's total liability to any user shall not exceed the subscription fees that user paid in the previous twelve months.

7. Ratings

After a job, salons and braiders may rate each other. Ratings must be honest and based on a real job. Braidday may remove ratings that are abusive, fraudulent, or unrelated to a job.

8. SMS messages

Braidday sends one-time verification codes by text message to log you in. Message and data rates may apply. Braidday does not send marketing texts. Reply STOP to stop receiving messages, HELP for help.

9. Geographic scope

Braidday is designed to operate throughout the United States, starting with Chicago (Illinois) and the New York / New Jersey area. Rules on independent contractor status, cosmetology licensing, and taxes vary by state. Each user must comply with the laws of their own state and city.
